Match Report

Glendale recorded a 2nd victory in the space of 3 days as they comfortably saw off Kaimhill at Maryculter in a Div 1 East fixture.

Glendale should have been 2 goals ahead in the opening 10 minutes but weak efforts in front of goal  from the normally deadly James McMahon failed to hit the target. However in 16 minutes Glendale went ahead when confusion in the Visitors defence saw DANNY LECHNER pounce to round Pittendgrigh and score into the empty net. 22 minutes it was 2-0 when from a free kick from the left taken by Lechner the ball appeared to drop over the line off a defender with CRAIG McRAE claiming the final touch ala Harry Kane! Just before the break Kaimhill were reduced to ten men when Moir pulled back J McMahon as he broke clear and was sent off for the last man challenge. H.T 2-0

The second half was only 8 minutes old when Dale all but wrapped up the points when Lechner played in ALLY BLACK who kept his composure to confidently slot past the advancing Keeper. Substitute Mark Robb rattled the cross bar with his first touch after coming on and fellow sub Ewen McRae also could have scored but at the end of the game it was to matter not as Glendale saw the game out with ease.
