Season 1999-2000 saw Glendale set a record breaking league run to date of 20 matches undefeated.
With Glendale in the old Div 2 they started with a bang winning 5 of their first 7 games and drawing 2 to set the pace at the top but the wheels came off as they then only won 1 of their next 10 scoring only 7 goals in the process and few could have predicted the run they would go on as they faced Stoneywood 4 Mile at Blairs on 8/4/2000. Glendale defeated Stoneywood 3-2 with goals from Taylor, Mullen and Richard Brechin with a starting 11 as follows.
Barry Adie McCubbin Beattie
Aberdein Mullen Abercrombie Martin
Subs R Brechin Begg
In the next 2 months Glendale played 18 games and recorded the following results
Skene 1 Glendale 1 [Taylor]
Glendale 3 Portlethan 1 [Aberdein Taylor Dickson]
Glendale 2 Skene 2 [Mullen Fearn]
Glendale 3 Stoneywood S.C 2 [Fearn Taylor]

It was a run good enough to finish 4th and gain promotion to the 1 st Div where it continued.
Glendale 3 Kincorth 1 [Dickson 2 Fearn]
Glendale 1 Frigate 1 [Mullen]
Glendale 4 Old Aberdonians 0 [Aitken Mullen Taylor J Brechin]
The run was ended by old foes Echt who beat Glendale 3-0 at Echt although Glendale were to get revenge later in the season as they beat Echt 1-0 at Blairs courtesy of a rare Graeme Beattie goal.
Next week pain at Pittodrie.
