Glendale were on their travel’s again as they faced Tarves in a league fixture on Saturday with the match being comparable to the weeks Scottish Elections. Tarves were like the SNP, favourite’s but still prepared to work hard for victory while Glendale were like the Tory’s, 2nd best on the day!
Tarves took only 9 minutes to go in front when Glendale switched off at a throw in and Lawson got to the bye line to cross for FINNIE to score at the near post with a neat finish. Two goals by DAVIDSON and FANTON in 29 and 33 minutes left Glendale with an uphill struggle and right on the half time whistle FANTON grabbed his 2nd of the match to all but wrap up the points. ht 4-0
Glendale improved in the 2nd half and pulled a goal back when Stewart Hay’s free kick was headed goalward by Callum Stewart and NEIL HUMPHRIES bundled the ball over the line from close range. Stewart almost grabbed a 2nd with a powerful header but Gray stuck out a hand to divert the ball wide. Dale huffed and puffed thereafter but Tarves were always in command and ran out worthy winners.
