Glendale overcame bottom markers Glentanar Reflex at a cold and wet Hazelhead on Saturday. Dale took the lead in the 15th minute when GRAEME OAG was on hand to convert a Robb cross but Glentanar fought back to equalise when MYLES CAIE scored with a terrific near post header which flew past Muirhead. Just before the break Glendale went ahead with a free kick straight from the training ground again when Reith crossed for MARK ROBB to score from close range. HT 1-2.
It took Glendale 15 minutes into the second half to grab their 3rd when under pressure from Callum Stewart a defender saw his pass back elude his keeper for an OWN GOAL but Reflex were given a lifeline when an error by Reith gave their striker race clear to hammer a shot beyond Muirhead. However with Reflex reduced to 10 men Dale saved the best till last when a brilliant piece of skill on the wing by Ally Watson saw his cross converted at the back post by DANNY LECHNER to complete the scoring.
